Omg, I’m not sure what caused it, but my stomach completely emptied itself out late last night. Seemed like a case of diarrhea. I visited the porcelain throne no less than 3 times. We got to know each really well haha.
My first thought was that it was something that I ate. I ran through my different meals during the day, and texted Justin, whom I was hanging out with, to ask if he had the same symptoms. He replied that, no, he didn’t have any stomach issues. We basically ate the same things today, so I ruled out bad food.
So, it had to be the coffee.
That delicious bulletproof coffee with butter and MCT oil. I haven’t been eating butter chips or putting butter in my coffee. I prefer heavy cream instead. Maybe the large amount of fats in that coffee cause my stomach to freak out. I think this is the most likely cause.
On the upside, I feel way better today! In addition to that, I weighed myself and the scale showed 204.6, which is 2 lbs lighter than when I weighed myself last time. I’m stoked at seeing this progress!

Curious about my ketone levels, I downloaded the software for the USB ketone breathalyzer and set it up. It was a straight forward process. After blowing into the breathalyzer as instructed (it’s interesting you’re only supposed to blow out the last part of your breath), I registered 59 — which, according their chart is high ketosis. Being able to measure and see exactly if I’m in ketosis or not, is simply amazing. No more guessing, no more doubt!
Here is the scale in detail:
- BLUE : 0 – 4 PPM : Low
- GREEN : 4 – 30 PPM : Nutritional Range
- YELLOW : 30 – 80 PPM : High Ketosis
- RED : above 80 PPM : Very High Ketosis
Lol! Great blog post. I love the honesty.
