Working Out has been Awesome
Since last weekend I’ve been going to the gym almost every day. I’ve been making huge gains in lean body mass while depleting fat stores at a rapid pace and I feel lit up! This is my third week into this round of Keto Adaptation and I’m feeling great. I’ve been eating right, hitting highs at the gym I haven’t seen in a long time, and I feel like the brain fog has lifted at least a little bit. I had been wondering if anyone had noticed how much slower I was feeling and whether the slowness was just in my own head; but based on the feedback I got nobody noticed anything different. Cool!
Although I should mention that sleeping was a huge hinderance for me. Due to the additional bursts of energy I felt as evening drew closer I had a hard time falling asleep. This lead me to purchase a bottle of caffeine pills to take in the morning so I’d be awesome at my 9 0’clock meetings! Morning drives are so much better now. I kind of feel like how Bradley Cooper would feel in the movie Limitless. The day would get brighter and my synapses were firing more frequently it felt. I love caffeine pills. I think I’ll continue using them but I’ll be lowering my dose because I think I might be trending towards a better sleep pattern. We’ll see. Here’s a list of items that were useful in reducing the side effects you might have the first week of the Ketogenic Diet
Diminish Ketogenic Diet Side Effects Easily With the Following:
- Smart Water
- Bouillon cubes
- Caffeine Pills
- More Fat
- If you start seeing rashes or hives while Keto Adaptation it is possible you’re not eating enough food. Something that helped me mitigate this immediately was bacon. I’m sure some carbs, fat or protein will do. Bacon really helped me.
Just for fun, I decided to go for a walk in my neighborhood and play some Pokemon Go.The more you walk the more you can level up while playing Pokemon GO. Walking is one of the ultimate work outs for those of us on the Ketogenic Diet. At this rate you’re burning a ratio of 50% carbs and 50% fat. Based on the conversation I was having with a nutritionist/workout coach this is a great ratio.
