My nervousness with the idea of going out while on Keto, and the culinary temptations out in the world, have been tempered a bit today. After a trip to SF to visit out of town friends this weekend, going out and staying on Keto is getting easier and easier.

Justin joined me to meet up with my friends, but before that, it was lunch time, we were hungry and decided to grab a bite to eat (our friends were already eating lunch an hour away from us).
We were in south San Francisco, and I thought, hey this is SF! It should be pretty easy to find heathy keto-friendly places to eat around here. So, I opened up the Yelp app and searched for “Keto friendly.” I found a highly rated restaurant called Kitava, categorized as a Gluten-Free place.
This unassuming little restaurant had a bad ass little menu. I had the Cuban bowl – pork, avocado, kale slaw, and cauliflower rice. Damn, this bowl was amazing! I completely devoured the entire thing in no time flat. But, if I had one criticism, it’s the cost of eating out like this. Maybe it’s just how SF is, but paying $15 for a bowl of food is not something I want to do every day.

We ended the day after getting all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ at K-Elements BBQ in the Outer Richmond district. Great place, where the staff is super-friendly, and the food is very, very keto friendly. But after this — and I can’t believe I’m saying this — but I’m starting to get tired of eating Korean BBQ so much.
